Total Transition Training ®
I believe the real issue with lack of tennis participation today is that there needs to be a transitional racket sport to fill in the gap between tennis and pickelball/padel, that is where "redball" comes in. The USTA has officially sanctioned "redball" this year at the US Open 2025, check out this website:

Total Transition Training is a sports program that provides an alternative to traditional racket sports. Since this sport uses striped, low compression balls that travel slower than traditional tennis balls, it can lower the risk of injury, help build endurance, prolong a player's ability to play racket sports and increase attention span. With reduced ball speed, players can focus on acquiring new skills, stroke production and technique.
By using various types of slower transition balls, players can adjust their training to meet their individual needs and goals and they can mutually agree on a particular ball speed to suit every player. Transition tennis rallies are slower and last longer, producing more steps, more efficient exercise and enjoyment. Everyone can join in the fun because it promotes intergenerational participation by leveling the playing field. Hybrid Sports such as: Redball, Padel and Pickleball are FUN and INCLUSIVE.
Advantages:
1. Slower speed and stripes make it easier to play than traditional tennis and is ideal for injured players who need rehabilitation.
2. Can be used on traditional tennis courts, private parking lots or any sports court including pickleball courts.
It also uses regulation tennis net or mobile tennis nets.
3. Uses regular tennis rackets, wood rackets or any Racket type.
4. Uses traditional tennis game rules, which can be modified and adapted to meet players needs. Our goal is to promote Redball so that it is played on Sports courts everywhere such as: schools, churches, Fitness centers, swim and racket clubs, resorts and Retirement Communities.
Redball uses a shortened form of scoring to allow more players to play and more time to socialize.
5. Adaptive Hybrid Sports: I have invented several new hybrid sports activities adapted for seniors and people with disabilities using foam and low compression tennis balls. These balls are specially designed to promote safety when playing sports
6. We promote 3 different games using three different speed balls:
RedBall uses the red low compression ball and underhand serving.
OrangeBall uses the orange ball, and is used in Spec-tennis.
GreenBall uses the green ball and the entire tennis court to play traditional tennis.
