No Fall Tee Ball (Modified Baseball game)
Description: No Fall Tee Ball applies ergonomic principles of human-body design by optimizing equipment, environments (like courts/gyms), and techniques to fit all people (regardless of mobility), thereby boosting performance, reducing fatigue, and preventing injuries by aligning natural body movements and minimizing strain. It's about designing equipment (balls, rackets, paddles) and settings (playing surfaces, training setups) that work with the body, not against it, ensuring better posture, efficient energy use, and long-term health.
Bonus for immobile people: Use of enhanced Equipment such as Weighted Paddles and Rackets and higher compression balls.
Organization: This is a small class of 8 people, designed to have fun exercising and help conditioning, endurance, pacing, body mechanics, stability, footwork, hand/eye coordination, relaxation and breathing techniques using scientific methods.
Equipment provided: Tee Ball Stand, alternating between: Plastic pickleballs and paddles, Foam tennis balls and rackets.
Rules: We will start with 4 players on each “Team”. Players with mobility issues can remain seated in chairs or wheelchairs. Mobile players can go out in the field (Tennis or Pickleball court) and try to field (catch) the balls or stay on the sidelines and cheer.
Each team will take turns at bat (Tee Ball Stand) and swing at the ball on the Tee. There will be markers for Singles (1 pt), Doubles (2 pts), Triples (3 pts) and Homeruns (4 pts) over the fence (net). There is no running to baseball bases. After all players on one team are finished hitting, we record the score based on the point value of the hit and then the next team will be up at the Tee Ball Stand. Any ball that is caught on the ground or in the air, will nullify that hit. The first team to 10 points wins the game. We will modify the rules as needed.
Suitable for children from 7 to 97+
