Sports Aerobics
This is a small Aerobics class designed to help with conditioning, endurance, pacing, body mechanics, safety and stability, footwork, hand/eye coordination, relaxation, breathing techniques and mental clarity and quickness.
Providing individual attention and instruction to anyone interested in learning more about racket and paddle sports. New sports added: chair tennis, RedBall Pickleball and Bad-Tennis (Badminton.
Suitable for children from 7 to 77+
Wednesdays at 1 pm
1. Skill stations designed to develop eye hand feet coordination for racket and paddle sports.
2. All skill levels: equipment used: multiple balls with varying speeds, various Rackets and paddles, variety of drills/games, free play with various partners, Progress at your own pace.
3. Skill Stations: elastic band walking, walk with weights, bounce ball walking, dribbling, throw and catch over net, bowling, paddleball, kickball, handball, bocci, baseball, basketball, golf, dodgeball, intro to a variety of balls and ball speeds, including pickleball and Foam Redball, spins, paddles and rackets, Picklepong, Chair Tennis, RedBall Pickleball, kneebends and breathing techniques.
4. Mental Benefits: Playing racket sports requires quick thinking and strategic decision-making, which can improve mental clarity, quickness and reflexes.
5. I have invented new hybrid sports activities adapted for seniors and people with mobility issues using foam and low compression tennis balls. These balls are specially designed to promote safety when playing sports. Hybrid sports using a variety of balls and ball speeds: Foam Redball, Picklepong, Chair Tennis, RedBall Pickleball and Bad-Tennis (Badminton).
6. My Adaptive hybrid sports are designed for Safety, Injury Prevention, Experimentation, Tune-ups, Cross-training, Rehabilitation, children, seniors and the mobility or emotionally challenged.
7. I will be using both cooperative and competitive drills to teach the sports.
